KARACHI - Distancing himself from Zulfiqar Mirza’s move against MQM, provincial minister Sharjeel Memon on Thursday said that he went to London on private visit.
Speaking to media on his arrival at the Karachi airport, Memon said that it was a coincidence that Zulfiqar Mirza was also traveling on the same plane.
Sindh Information Minister said he came back immediately on Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah’s call after learning that his visit was taken in a wrong perception.
He said he is only answerable to his party's leadership.
On a query, Memon said Mirza’s allegations against MQM leader was his own perception, adding that his party has nothing to do with his move.
He said he had interaction with Mirza on the plane and in London as well, but they did not discuss anything with him regarding Mirza's move against MQM.
