ECP taking steps for holding free election: Riaz Kiyani


HAFIZABAD, Oct 13: Member Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Justice (retired) Riaz Ahmad Kiyani has said the commission is taking all possibile steps for holding the next election free, fair and transparent in the country. He was talking to MPAs Fayyaz Ahmad Awan, Shahid Hussain Bhatti, MNA Afzal Hussain Tarar and DCO Muhammad Asif here on Thursday. Provincial Election Commissioner Akhtar Hussain Sabar, Assistant Commissioner Hafizabad Amar Javed, System Engineer NADRA Mahsan RAza and other officers were also present.
He said preparation of flawless voter lists and entry of 18-year people were not possible without the cooperation of politicial parties and elected representative of people. 
He said performance and capacity of NADRA mobile van service would be improved so that maximum people could get their CNICs and get registered their names in voter lists.
Assistant Election Commissioner Hafizabad, Amar Javed, informed that 95 percent work of verification of voter lists had been completed in the district so far and 52,870 new votes were registered whereas 18,459 votes had been deleted from lists.
