LAHORE: The police detained at least five suspected persons in an extensive search operation in the surrounding areas of Thokar Niaz Baig and Chuhng, Geo News reported Monday.The heavy contingent of police took part in the operation and asked the residents for their identity cards.
SHO of Chuhng police station Rafiullah told that they took five people into custody for not proving their identities.
He said that the residents of the area have been cautioned against suspected persons and have been asked not to rent out their houses to suspected people.
They have also been asked to inform the police in case they witness any suspected activity or person, the SHO added.
