KARACHI: Three alleged terrorists including a woman were killed while a policeman was martyred when a vehicle blew up with a powerful blast here in Defence area on Wednesday.
According to police, a suspicious vehicle (Suzuki Bolan) in which the alleged terrorists were traveling was chased by two policemen. On seeing the police approaching the terrorists detonated the explosives, blowing up the vehicle.
All the three terrorists were killed while one of the two policemen, Maula Baksh, who chased the vehicle was killed and the other, Muhammad Safeer, sustained injuries, police said.
Five Kalashnikovs and rifles were recovered from the scattered debris of the vehicle that was completely destroyed in the blast.
The law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area while rescue and emergency response teams reached the site of the incident.
