Ex-spy held for planning attack on Parliament House


ISLAMABAD - The security forces have arrested a former employee of an intelligence agency for allegedly planning attack on the Parliament House, Online news agency reported.
Quoting unidentified officials as saying, the news agency reported that Saeedullah was arrested from Okara during a raid and shifted to Islamabad for interrogation. The man has served an intelligence agency and was expelled, the news service said.
The suspect belonged to Darra Adam Khel, a tribal area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, located between Peshawar and Kohat. Earlier, police have claimed to have arrested five of his accomplices for planning an attack on the Parliament House.
Raids were being conducted for his arrest over the past few months, the officials said, declaring his arrest a significant achievement.
